KraftHaus Aerospace and Aviation Solutions

KraftHaus Amphibious Solutions
Providing Amphibian solutions primarily focused on Land, Marine and Air. The KraftHaus team has created more than 11 different amphibious vehicles, this is a specialist area within Krafthaus.
Amphibians ranging from 0.5t to 11t in weight, 2m to 11m in length, 20KPH to 160KPH in land speed and 8kts to 45kts in marine speed. For planing versions, specialist retracting suspension systems are required and are incorporated into the amphibious vehicle systems simply and seamlessly.

KraftHaus Marine Solutions
The Krafthaus team have participated in a number of high-speed planing hull vessel products, including whole vessel and hull only projects. With the expertise in Hull design (including hull appendage issues) using composite as well as lightweight aluminium solutions, taking projects from concept through to manufacture and certification to Lloyds, ABS, Bureau Veritas and DNV requirements.
Water jet propulsion systems for vessels is also a unique area of expertise, having designed water jets from 150mm – 400mm diameters with engine power ranges from 140hp to 500hp for bespoke applications. The unique process used in Krafthaus enables their water jets to be 1/3 of the weight and half the length of one of the well-known, commercially available waterjets.

The numerous structural solutions used have including lightweight bonded aluminium, advanced composites and other advanced materials/manufacturing methods to achieve the optimum balance between cost, weight, manufacturability and repairability.

Krafthaus teams have developed bespoke line and cell production tooling and where required, ‘Fly-Away’ tooling on process and weight critical designs.
